“Join the global movement of young professionals who are developing innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.”

What is Rotaract?

Rotaract clubs bring together people ages 18 and older to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service.

In communities worldwide, Rotary and Rotaract members work side by side to take action through service. From big cities to rural villages, Rotaract is changing communities like yours. For more information about Rotaract, visit https://www.rotary.org/en/get-involved/rotaract-clubs

There are over 10,000 Rotaract clubs worldwide and over 250,000 Rotaractors.

Key Facts about Rotaract

  • There is no upper-limit in age. Rotaract Club members must be 18 years of age or older, but there is no upper age limit for membership.

  • Rotaract is not “youth service.” Rotaract is now a Rotary International Membership type, not a youth service avenue like Rotary Youth Leadership Awards or Interact.
  • Rotaract is not just for young people. While young people make the majority of Rotaract membership, we prefer the term “early professionals” or “young professionals.” Rotaract allows young professionals to create networks and services and a pathway to Rotarian status!

  • Rotaract Clubs do not need Rotary club sponsorship. Rotaract Clubs can start and run their own clubs and sponsor other Rotaract Clubs. The “Sponsorship” is not a requirement any more. However, Rotaractors are highly encouraged to work alongside their community Rotary clubs to get advice and mentorship.

  • Rotaractors can subscribe to the digital version of the Rotary magazine. Rotaractors now have access to the digital version of the Rotary magazine for free. Subscribe using this link: https://my.rotary.org/en/node/18361
